Virginia Beach, VA, June 28, 2004—Steelmaster® Structural Systems announced today the SteelMaster® Roofing System has been approved as an acceptable covering for the new HUMMER® dealership showrooms nationwide.

In an effort to create a uniform appearance, all new HUMMER® dealerships will conform to a standardized prototype design approved by GM® architects. The design incorporates a large curved roof covering the showroom portion of the building that is a suitable application for the SteelMaster Roofing System. The finished product will be a unique, attention-grabbing strong structure that adds an industrial yet refined appearance to each new dealership showroom.

GM® approved the SteelMaster roofing system to go on HUMMER® showrooms for several reasons. The heavy gauge, deeply corrugated, stylish curved steel structural panels match the design the HUMMER® architects are trying to achieve. Additionally, the curved structural panels can span the width of the showroom without any interior supports; the result is a tremendous savings in cost by eliminating the structural steel required for a typical curved standing seam roof.
