2006 F-150 King Ranch
In 2006, Ford’s king of the road joins another motoring model to give
performance enthusiasts a new definition of custom cool (as Ford puts it). This new model is the 2006 Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-150. It is a limited-edition 2006 Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-150 SuperCab and the 8th model to emerge from the alliance that was first forged in 1999.
In addition to this brash Harley-Davidson model, Ford also has upgraded the F-150 line with new options, features and equipment, including a new 20-inch wheel, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, chrome appearance packages for XLT and Lariat models, Traction Assist and, later in the model year, the option of a standard-length cargo box on SuperCrew models and a flexible-fuel 5.4-liter Triton ä V-8 engine.
The Ford F-150 continues to offer a wide cariety of body configurations, including 3 cab choices, 3 box lengths, 2 box styles and five unique series: the entry-level F-150 XL, fun and athletic F-150 STX, all-purpose F-150 XLT, powerful F-150 FX4, and the luxurious F-150 Lariat, to which the King Ranch version adds even more luxury. All cabs have four doors for easy access.
With a max. tow rating of 9,900 pounds when properly equipped and max. payload capacity of 3,060 pounds, the Ford F-150 is a very capable fullsize pickup under 8,500 pounds.
