Geo Auto General Motors
General Motors introduced back in 1988 through their Chevrolet brand the Geo line of small vehicles with the models Geo Metro, Spectrum and Tracker.
Particular with these Geo models is the fact that they were not actually manufactured by the General Motors.
Designers and manufacturers of the Geo line of cars were GM foreign partners like the Isuzu, Daewoo, Daihatsu and Suzuki. The only car which Genral Motros influence is the Prizm, which is a General Motors / Toyota joint-venture.
The Geo production lines had a duration of about ten years. This relatively short period was caused by weak sales and not enough consumer interest. In 2002, the Prism was the last car from the Geo line.
